Our latest Photography Project comes from the hugely talented Dom Fleming, who proves equally as comfortable shooting bumblebees as he does capturing the mad onstage energy of Sir David Rodigan. In his words..
I’m a 21 year-old photographer currently based between Oxford and Coventry. I have been taking photos seriously for about three years, after documenting the local graffiti scene in Coventry with my mate for a few years. I moved to Oxford in 2008 and starting taking pictures with a proper camera at the nights I was going to, working for Freerange soon after. This led me to focus my photography on the music scene taking photographs of various DJ’s and MC’s specialising in D&B, Dubstep and Grime; recently shooting a few music festivals in the summer.
I don’t limit myself to a particular line of work, choosing to carry my camera most places I go always looking for opportunities and documenting my everyday life. I’m currently working in Coventry for Kong taking product shots for their clothing website and travelling between Oxford for night work. I also work with Laid Blak as their official photographer travelling with them to gigs, and I write for Fresh Habits which keeps me busy the rest of time!
You can see a range of my work below, I hope to get into making music videos and shorts within the next year. Big shouts to Dan at PYC for the feature.
